Lonergan Philosophical Society

Objectives of the Society

LonerganThe objectives of the Lonergan Philosophical Society are to foster and encourage open exploration of the philosophic significance of Bernard Lonergan's thought, both as a primary focus of investigation and in relation to other currents of thought; to promote scholarly fellowship through activities such as meetings, conferences, colloquia, publications, and other exchanges; and to cooperate with the work of the Los Angeles Lonergan Center, the West Coast Methods Institute (WCMI), the Lonergan Research Institute in Toronto, the Boston Lonergan Workshop, and other philosophic and academic societies. LPS meets annually in conjunction with the American Catholic Philosophical Association. The inaugural meeting of LPS was held in March, 1994, at the ACPA Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

Membership

Annual Dues: $10.00 US. Members receive advance copies of papers presented at LPS meetings as well as annual announcements of calls for papers. Dues cover the cost of duplication and mailing. 2010 Annual Meeting

Call for Papers

The 16th annual meeting of the Lonergan Philosophical Society will be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Catholic Philosophical Association in 2010.

The general theme of this year's ACPA conference has yet to be announced.
